DISlike

It’s 0200, I can’t fall asleep (again) because of insane switch overs between days and nights so I decide to boot up my computer and watch some mindless movie to pass yet another insomniac night. While I’m randomly surfing, I check my facebook (of course) and this doctor with whom I had a major kerfluffle with regarding scope of practice and respect in general sent me a friend request! Not gonna happen. In fact, the privacy settings got bumped up even higher. Now I’m just too creeped out to sleep.

i bet he was just trying to see if you were dumb enough to 'friend' him so he could scour your profile to find something to use against you. what a dummy.

Maybe he realized he needs to be a tad more humble. Though Nurse J might be right on target.

One word: Eww!

My rule: friend no one at work. No problems that way and keep the security settings high.

The big boss actually friended a few people where I work. I know he likes to consider himself highly computer literate, but I find it highly unsettling.

Some stuff, you just don't need to know. Most of my friends on FB are family, grade and high school friends.

That is more than enough for me!

Yeah, Maha, he's just spoofing you. Buh-bye!

I'm wondering if he's just insanely pleased with himself for being 'up to date' ;-) and wants everyone to know.

Do you have a LinkedIn account? I'm not in medicine so don't know if Drs use it or not. When someone I have a business relationship asks me about Facebook, I tell them I have a LinkedIn account and they can connect with me there.

No way I'd ever "friend" anyone who is not actually a friend on Facebook. I would not want my political or other viewpoints that I post on Facebook to become a topic in my workplace/industyr.

What ever happened with that situation anyway? He won't speak with you but he finds it totally apropos to facebook friend you? Weird.

I don't blame you! What happened with that situation? Is there anything more you can tell us without breaking privacy?

Also - I ADORE your blog!

Douchewad probably feels bad that he nearly killed someone and respects you for keeping him out of court, but won't act that way to your face because he's a fucking Douchewad.

Totally badassed to be ordering an abdominal XR on your own after pt was to be d/c'd btw.

In other news, at my last job, the CNO went batshit when she found out that RNs in the ER were ordering EKGs and saline locks on chest pain patients without a physician eval first. Um, hi?

Have you tried valarian or melatonin for sleeping? Non addictive. Valarian is more of a brain calming herb, and melatonin helps to reset your internal clock.

He probably needs a neighbour on Farm Town. ;^)
